Sandu Popescu
Romanian Sandu Popescu, a member of the Hewlett-Packard Company's Basic Research Institute in the Mathematical Sciences, has been awarded the prestigious University of Cambridge Adams Prize for the year 2001 for his contributions to the field of quantum information, specifically for his work on quantum non-locality, which led to demonstrations of quantum teleportation.
