Victor Velculescu cercetătorul
Victor Velculescu (40 de ani), profesor la Universitatea John Hopkins din Maryland (SUA), a şi lăsat în urmă bucuria recentului său succes, acum lucrând la o variantă a testului cât mai ieftină şi, deci, accesibilă pe piaţa largă.
Savantul de origine română susţine că descoperirea sa va permite îmbunătăţirea tratamentelor personalizate acordate pacienţilor suferind de cancer şi o diagnosticare exactă. De aceea, sistemele asigurărilor de sănătate din toată lumea ar trebui să acopere financiar aceste teste sangvine, spune profesorul Victor Velculescu.
Camelia Potec
Potec began at the age of eight years with the swimming sport. The passion for the water inherited it according to own statement of its father ion Ionescu, a former Segler, which also trains it. Their homeland club is the club Sportiv Municipal Braila.
With the olympic summer games 2000 in Sydney Potec into the final penetrated over 200 m-freestyle and occupied there at the end rank 7. With the Romanian 4x200 m-Freistilstaffel she achieved the fourth place behind the USA, Australia and Germany.
It confirmed their sporty achievements with the swimming world championships 2001 in Fukuoka. There it won the bronze medal over 200 m-freestyle and occupied over 400 m-freestyle rank 6.
Potec celebrated the so far largest success of its career with the olympic summer games 2004 in Athens. Over 200 m-freestyle achieved it to 17. August 2004 surprisingly the gold medal. Potec had gone only with the seventh-best qualification time into the final, became generally accepted however at the end with 19 Hunderstel projection/lead before the Italienierin Federica Pellegrini .
Florin Popescu - Romanian sprint canoer
Florin Popescu (born August 30, 1974 in Iancu Jianu, Olt) is a Romanian sprint canoer who competed from the mid 1990s to 2005. Competing in two Summer Olympics, he won two Olympic medals at Sydney in 2000 with teammate Mitică Pricop (gold: C-2 1000 m, bronze: C-2 500 m). He won a total of seven world championship gold medals (and nineteen total) as well as seven European championship golds, making him the most successful Romanian paddler of modern times.
Injury forced Popescu to retire at the end of the 2005 season after winning his seventh world title (C-4 500 m) at the World Championships in Zagreb, Croatia.
Popescu is 183 cm (6'0") tall and raced at 79 kg (174 lbs). was voted Romanian Sportsman of the Year in 1993.
IVAN PATZAICHIN - Romanian sprint canoer
Ivan Patzaichin won 13 canoeing titles at the Olympic Games and World Championships.
Patzaichin competed at five Olympic Games, from 1968 through 1984, representing the Dinamo Bucharest club for Romania. His Olympic titles were the C2-1000 in 1968, the C1-1000 in 1972, the C2-1000 in 1980 and the C2-1000 in 1984. His World Championships were at C2-500 in 1979, C2-1000 in 1970, 1973, and 1981, the C1-1000 in 1977 and the C1-10K in 1978.
Born in Mila 23, Tulcea County, to a Russian Lipovan family, he was a member of the Dinamo Bucharest canoe club. When he retired, Patzaichin became a coach and is now head of the Romanian national team, known as Amiralul ("The Admiral"). His pupils, including Olympic champion Florin Popescu, have won over one hundred sprint canoe titles.
Luminita Hutupan
S-a nascut la data de 6 noiembrie 1971, in Piatra Neamt, copilarind alaturi de cei 6 frati ai sai.
A jucat handbal in perioada 1985 – 2009 si este probabil cea mai titrata handbalista din Romania.
Luminta ocupa postul de portar, insa are la activ numeroase goluri inscrise din loviturile de la 7 metri.

Campionatul Mondial de Karate goju ryu - Portugalia 2010 | 07.10.2010
In perioada 29 sept - 3 oct 2010 s-a desfasurat la Cascais / Portugalia primul Campionat Mondial de Karate Goju -ryu. *
La acest Campionat Mondial de Karate Goju ryu sportivii/ sportivele noastre au obtinut rezultate notabile :
-echipe senioare - campioaoane mondiale ;
- vicecampioni mondiale echipe baieti ;
- campion mondial seniori POPA PAUL ( si membru al echipei de seniori ce au iesit vicecampioni mondiali ) ;
- doua vicecampioane mondiale la senioare feminin ( Sandu Stefania si Alexandra Manea ) , si alte locuri fruntase la juniori si cadeti.
